Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit beyond-horizon.ai, for which purposes, and which rights you have. It applies to this website only; our product applications have their own privacy notices. This English version is provided for convenience; the German version is authoritative.
Controller
The controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Trilaris GmbH
Eldenaer Str. 35
10247 Berlin
Germany
Email: contact@beyond-horizon.ai
Phone: +493024643660
A data protection officer has not been appointed, as the legal requirements for a mandatory appointment (Art. 37 GDPR, Section 38 BDSG) are not met.
Overview
This website is a purely informational service. There are no user accounts, no newsletters, no cookies, no tracking and no third-party content loaded at runtime. Personal data is processed in two cases only:
- when the website is technically delivered to your browser (see "Hosting and server log files")
- when you actively contact us, for example by email (see "Contacting us")
Hosting and server log files
The website is operated by an external hosting provider: Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus ("Hostinger"). It is served from data centres within the European Union (Europe (Germany, Frankfurt)). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hostinger.
When you access the website, the server automatically processes the data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, requested page or file, referrer URL, browser type and operating system (user agent), transferred data volume and HTTP status code. This data is technically required to deliver the website and additionally serves to ensure stability and security, for example to detect attacks and abuse. It is not merged with other data or evaluated for marketing purposes.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable provision of the website. Server log files are deleted or anonymised after 7 days, unless a specific security incident requires longer retention.
No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies, does not store information on your device and does not read information from it (Section 25 of the German TDDDG). No analytics, tracking, advertising or social media services are used. A consent banner is therefore not required.
Fonts and external content
All components of this website, in particular the fonts (Inter, JetBrains Mono), graphics and scripts, are hosted locally on our server. Visiting the website does not establish any connection to servers operated by Google or other third parties; in particular, no Google Fonts are loaded from Google servers.
Contacting us
When you contact us, in particular by email to contact@beyond-horizon.ai, we process the data you provide (email address, name, content of the message and transmitted metadata) in order to handle and answer your enquiry. Providing this data is voluntary.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or its initiation, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to enquiries. We delete the data once it is no longer required for processing the enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations (in particular under German commercial and tax law) apply.
Please note that unencrypted emails are not fully protected against third-party access in transit. For confidential matters, we recommend agreeing on a transmission channel with us in advance.
Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption throughout, recognisable by "https://" and the lock symbol in your browser's address bar. Data transmitted when accessing the website is thereby protected against interception by third parties in transit.
Recipients and third-country transfers
The recipient of personal data is our hosting provider acting as a processor (see "Hosting and server log files"). Data is only passed on to other third parties where this is necessary for the purposes described, where a legal obligation exists, or where you have given consent.
As a rule, no data is transferred to countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area. Should a third-country element arise in individual cases, for example in the context of the hosting provider's technical support, this only takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular EU standard contractual clauses.
Storage periods
Unless a specific retention period is stated in this privacy policy, we store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. The data is then deleted or anonymised, unless statutory retention obligations, for example under commercial or tax law, require longer storage; in that case, processing for other purposes is restricted.
Your rights
You have the following rights vis-a-vis Trilaris GmbH as controller:
- access to the personal data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
An informal message is sufficient to exercise your rights, for example by email to contact@beyond-horizon.ai.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for Trilaris GmbH is: the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany. An overview of all German supervisory authorities is provided by the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR (Art. 21 (1) GDPR). We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
An objection can be made informally, for example by email to contact@beyond-horizon.ai.
No obligation to provide data, no automated decision-making
You are neither legally nor contractually obliged to provide us with personal data. However, the website cannot be delivered without the data that is technically generated when it is accessed. Automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, does not take place on this website.
